It is now even simpler and easier to navigate round our site, especially good for those who shop during their lunch hours (or maybe during office hours.... shhhhhh I promise I won't tell!) Of course we're still keeping our amazing magazine style for those who have more time to flick every single page and view our videos. Go to our front page and pick your method to shop!

Remember almost all of our clothes are hand made!

New collections and Graduate features!

Apologies for the lack of updates recently! Lots have been going on in the past month!!

First of all, the website has been revamped in preparation of our second collection, featuring works of Natalie Breeze, Anna Burachevskaya and Faye Masters. The printed silk pieces from Natalie are sure to an essential for a tropical holiday! Alternatively, Faye's sherbet garments are perfect for the hot (and sweaty) summer ahead! If you just want to keep it nice and simple, look at Anna's tees - I guarantee that they will prove to be your wardrobe staples!

Second of all, as some of you might know, June is a big time for graduate designers as it is the time when all the final collections are due and graduate shows held! We are very pleased to announce that Cynthia Mak, one of our designers who is graduating this year from Central Saint Martins, have been featured in The Telegraph and Vogue Italy!! Many congratulations Cyn! For more coverage of that, see this http://www.telegraph.co.uk/fashion/7797346/Central-St.-Martins-BA-graduate-show.html?image=5. It is certainly time to snap up her designs on sale at our online store before they go!! http://www.stunnz.com/magazine.php?issue=spr2010#/16

Last but not least, we are already receiving designs for the upcoming Autumn/ Winter collection!! And they are going to be MAJAHHH!! But at the mean time, enjoy the nice sunny weather ;)

Spring is here

I am obsessed with Oscar every year - not because I want to see who is the best actor/actress of the year, but because of all the fabulous, stunning and glamorous dresses!

This year Diane Kruger's Chanel dress is definitly one of my favourites. It is so "my fair lady", in a very classic, very "Chanel" kind of way. The colour and flower details of the dress just scream "spring is here!".

If you like Diane's dress as much as I do, I believe you will also love our Charlotte Peace collection at stunnz.

Are you ready to bring some colours into your wardrobe for this Spring?

P.S. For those who missed the Oscar this year, you could find Diane Kruger's (plus many others') photoes at the website of Look Magazine

'touch' the clothes online

I know you're all trendy online-buyers who feels at ease to shop on the world wide web. Sometimes, though, when you look for your perfect outfit online and see something, don't you ever think 'Ahh it looks perfect, but only if I could FEEL it and see if the texture is like!'? Now at stunnz, we aim to give you the perfect shopping experience. Thus for every single item on our site, we have a hardness scale and a smoothness scale, each letting you 'feel' the fabric!

Both scales range from 0 to 5. Now you all know what cashmere, denim, linen and silk feels like right? For the hardness scale, we have 0 representing fabrics soft like cashmere and 5 hard like denim. And the smoothness - 0 is clothes rough like linen 5 is silky smooth. Now on all our designers' collections you can find the hardness and smoothness of each item (some clothes use a mixture of fabrics and of course we let you know how each part feels too!) and know how each of them 'feel' against your skin! I know it's still not the same as actually touching them in a shop but it's a step closer! And you can just 'try' it on in your sofa - now isn't that sweet?

Sexy in a subtle way

I have always loved open-back dress. I think they are classy, sexy but not too much - the perfect outfit for the first date.

That's why I just love the astronaut dress designed by Cynthia Mak (under brand ______ Mak).

And with her director jacket, the whole set becomes a work suit. (Haven't you always wondered what you should wear if you are going to party after work? THIS!)

Happy Chinese New Year!

This year 14th Feb was not only Valentines Day, it was also Chinese New Year- we have officially entered the year of tiger!

Here are some traditions of CNY which are still followed by most Chinese these days:

1. You should clean your home two days before new year's eve.

2. On new year's eve, the whole family have dinner together. After dinner, go to flower market to buy flowers as New Year decoration.

Peach blossom is a popular choice because it will improve your relationships, mostly love, with others. (just see how pink the flowers are!)

3. If you are married you need to give red packets (red envelopes with money) to younger friends and relatives.

4. Chinese new year day is the day to visit senior relatives, pay your respect, and ofcourse, receive your red packets. (that's a big temptation right?)

5. Like 5th November, Chinese new year is the time for fire work.

The photo shows the firework performance on 2nd day of new year at Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong. Isn't it fabulous?

6. You should wear new clothes and shoes on new year day, which gives us another excuse for shopping!

7. However you are not suppose to buy new shoes during the first month of new year because it will bring you bad luck (one whole month without new shoes??!?!?! NOW we call this superstitious because who can resist if Selfridges is on sale?)

more than a shop, more than a magazine

At www.stunnz.com there are so many interactive functions that you probably haven’t seen from other online fashion websites. To start off with, our whole shopping platform is on a magazine because, haven’t you ever read a magazine and think, ‘hmm, only if I could just get this top from page x and that skirt from page y THEN it’ll make my perfect outfit’? Here on our magazine-shop you can do EXACTLY that.

From the cover page, you can turn over, browse, and buy your perfect outfit. See something you like? Just move over to the red ‘Details’ button and you can add the item to the fitting room. Then you can either click ‘Try it now’ to view more pictures and videos of different models in it (yes you could pick a brunette, blonde, or for some items, dark skin model to wear the garment to suit your need!) straight away. You could also choose to continue flicking through the magazine, add more items to your fitting room, before you go inside to try them all one by one, just like you would in a real-life fitting room! At any point of your read you could go into the fitting room by clicking the link on top left of the red bar, right under our stunnz. logo. Click and add any items to your basket and proceed to check out by viewing the basket using the ‘View Basket’ button, again on top of the red bar. It’s that easy!!

So come along now and buy your favourites before they’re gone, especially with most of our items being the one and only one in the whole world!

If you do need more guidance on how to shop on this interactive platform, use our ‘Help’ link on the top of the website.

it doesn't always have to be pink for valentine's....

It's pink everywhere!! THREE more days until the luffy-duffy, chocolate-and-flowers-filled V Day. I hope you have all sorted your dinner and movie plans out!! (I'm watching the star-studded Valentines' Day, anyone with me?) If you are still ploughing through your wardrobe trying (and failing) to find a kick-arse outfit, why don't you check out our LBD section? LBDs are ALWAYS in vogue. What I love best about our dresses is the fact that most of them are unique pieces, which makes running into the girl next door wearing the same dress-from-the-high-street-store highly unlikely. I guarantee that these little beauties will make you feel absolutely gorgeous and special. Afterall, the best part of Valentines' Day is the dressing up. Don't you agree?

Found one (or maybe more) you fancy? Here it is: http://www.stunnz.com/#/2, and all these 3 amazing LBDs are UNIQUE - so act quick if you want to be the only girl in this world with the dress!!!

Star Trek 2010

If you are a fan of Star Trek then you could not miss Cynthia Mak's collection in Stunnz!

Cynthia was born and raised in Hong Kong and is currently studying fashion at Central St. Martins. She is not one of those who started making clothes for herself since she was 6; however, her talent has always been in the arts. Having no background or skills in fashion design, Cynthia made her first step into the fashion world in London, 2006. But because of her passion and hard work, she has managed to express her individual style in garments, delivering a very unique and contemporary collection. Her previous experience in fashion companies such as Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Preen and Roksanda Ilincic, has brought her knowledge and skills to a next level.

Sorry no photo this time - if you want to see Cynthia's collection you will have to visit our shop openning on 6th Feb!

How to wear a parachute

Apologies to those who are waiting for another designer's introduction - we have been so busy doing photo shoot (don't worry, we have plenty of "behind the scene" photo and we will upload them soon!). Good news is our online shop is almost ready to roll!

Ok, I know you have waited long enough. Without further ado, here's is a little introduction from Faye Masters:

A recently graduated womenswear designer, from Bath Spa University in Fashion and Textiles BA. I am creative and driven , who is passionate about design and looking forward to the challenge of working in this fast-paced industry. A commercial eye for fashion ensures a flair for trends and the ability to adapt them for commercial use. Some of my skill s are designing and creating my designs through pattern cutting. I enjoy putting collections together with fabrics and colour.

My last collection consists of three dresses and two jackets, the main dress is from my final collection which was inspired by a military parachute from which I took the overall structure and shape as a starting point for recycling the fabric and trimmings into new comtemporary designs that were worked three dimensionally on the stand. I altered areas of the pattern to make it comtemporary and more wearable; I have tried to follow this through in the other dresses, hoping to create individual and strong garments. The jackets are similar to biker jackets, following the colour scheme of the dresses and adding a green theme.

Chic + Edgy = ???

Anna Burachevskaya is a talented graduate from the University of Northampton, who has got a great passion for style, illustration and fashion photography. Two words best describe her style: chic.and.edgy. She is a firm believer that everyone deserves to be beautiful and fashion plays an important part in it.

Having lived in a few different countries and travelled extensively, Anna finds that her greatest inspirations come from foreign cultures, different environments and meeting with new people. She has recently moved to London and found her muses on the busy London streets. Old British romance took a great part in her fabric choice, while architecture and its underground culture motivated her for using dark colours in this collection.

Her favourite piece of her first season's collection is the mixed velvet and lace dress as she feels that it is a perfect choice for a great night out in London (editor's note: YES!!!). It is simple but sexy, chic yet ultra feminine.

3D in fashion

While 3D movie is becoming more and more popular, here's a designer who is not afraid to use 3D technology in fashion design.

Ray Hung is a Hong Kong based fashion designer who explores interactivity in fashion and technology. Inspired by 3D technology and designing for the future, he collaborates with interactive designers and engineers to develop new forms of 3D interactive fashion for both artistic and commercial ends.

He received both the BA and MA in Fashion and textile design from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He loves graphic design much and often integrates graphics into fashion.

His first 3D collection, which is also the graduation collection for his master degree, is presented in his shows and in design exhibitions.

Ray most recently started his own label, copper el coller, which he put a lot of playful graphic into it.

( Picture showing Ray's 3D design, put on a pair of 3D glasses and you'll be able to see 3D effect!)
