Spring is here
This year Diane Kruger's Chanel dress is definitly one of my favourites. It is so "my fair lady", in a very classic, very "Chanel" kind of way. The colour and flower details of the dress just scream "spring is here!".
If you like Diane's dress as much as I do, I believe you will also love our Charlotte Peace collection at stunnz.

Are you ready to bring some colours into your wardrobe for this Spring?
P.S. For those who missed the Oscar this year, you could find Diane Kruger's (plus many others') photoes at the website of Look Magazine

'touch' the clothes online
Both scales range from 0 to 5. Now you all know what cashmere, denim, linen and silk feels like right? For the hardness scale, we have 0 representing fabrics soft like cashmere and 5 hard like denim. And the smoothness - 0 is clothes rough like linen 5 is silky smooth. Now on all our designers' collections you can find the hardness and smoothness of each item (some clothes use a mixture of fabrics and of course we let you know how each part feels too!) and know how each of them 'feel' against your skin! I know it's still not the same as actually touching them in a shop but it's a step closer! And you can just 'try' it on in your sofa - now isn't that sweet?

Happy Chinese New Year!
Here are some traditions of CNY which are still followed by most Chinese these days:
1. You should clean your home two days before new year's eve.
2. On new year's eve, the whole family have dinner together. After dinner, go to flower market to buy flowers as New Year decoration.
Peach blossom is a popular choice because it will improve your relationships, mostly love, with others. (just see how pink the flowers are!)
3. If you are married you need to give red packets (red envelopes with money) to younger friends and relatives.
4. Chinese new year day is the day to visit senior relatives, pay your respect, and ofcourse, receive your red packets. (that's a big temptation right?)
5. Like 5th November, Chinese new year is the time for fire work.
The photo shows the firework performance on 2nd day of new year at Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong. Isn't it fabulous?
6. You should wear new clothes and shoes on new year day, which gives us another excuse for shopping!
7. However you are not suppose to buy new shoes during the first month of new year because it will bring you bad luck (one whole month without new shoes??!?!?! NOW we call this superstitious because who can resist if Selfridges is on sale?)

more than a shop, more than a magazine
From the cover page, you can turn over, browse, and buy your perfect outfit. See something you like? Just move over to the red ‘Details’ button and you can add the item to the fitting room. Then you can either click ‘Try it now’ to view more pictures and videos of different models in it (yes you could pick a brunette, blonde, or for some items, dark skin model to wear the garment to suit your need!) straight away. You could also choose to continue flicking through the magazine, add more items to your fitting room, before you go inside to try them all one by one, just like you would in a real-life fitting room! At any point of your read you could go into the fitting room by clicking the link on top left of the red bar, right under our stunnz. logo. Click and add any items to your basket and proceed to check out by viewing the basket using the ‘View Basket’ button, again on top of the red bar. It’s that easy!!
So come along now and buy your favourites before they’re gone, especially with most of our items being the one and only one in the whole world!
If you do need more guidance on how to shop on this interactive platform, use our ‘Help’ link on the top of the website.

Star Trek 2010
Cynthia was born and raised in Hong Kong and is currently studying fashion at Central St. Martins. She is not one of those who started making clothes for herself since she was 6; however, her talent has always been in the arts. Having no background or skills in fashion design, Cynthia made her first step into the fashion world in London, 2006. But because of her passion and hard work, she has managed to express her individual style in garments, delivering a very unique and contemporary collection. Her previous experience in fashion companies such as Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Preen and Roksanda Ilincic, has brought her knowledge and skills to a next level.
Sorry no photo this time - if you want to see Cynthia's collection you will have to visit our shop openning on 6th Feb!

How to wear a parachute
Ok, I know you have waited long enough. Without further ado, here's is a little introduction from Faye Masters:
A recently graduated womenswear designer, from Bath Spa University in Fashion and Textiles BA. I am creative and driven , who is passionate about design and looking forward to the challenge of working in this fast-paced industry. A commercial eye for fashion ensures a flair for trends and the ability to adapt them for commercial use. Some of my skill s are designing and creating my designs through pattern cutting. I enjoy putting collections together with fabrics and colour.
My last collection consists of three dresses and two jackets, the main dress is from my final collection which was inspired by a military parachute from which I took the overall structure and shape as a starting point for recycling the fabric and trimmings into new comtemporary designs that were worked three dimensionally on the stand. I altered areas of the pattern to make it comtemporary and more wearable; I have tried to follow this through in the other dresses, hoping to create individual and strong garments. The jackets are similar to biker jackets, following the colour scheme of the dresses and adding a green theme.
